Dear support, I am using a MacBook Air M1 with the Capture One Express license for Sony.
- I just bought a Macbook Air M1 after using Windows since Windows 1.0, with a brief 2-month flirtation with a Mac around 20 years ago. I bought it in a fit of pique after a 3-month-old Windows.
- Capture One 21 (14.0.0) is a feature release containing new functionality, new camera and lens support, and important bug fixes. ProStandard camera profiles. Leica tethering. Improved Importer. Easy brush adjusting. Improved performance. Enhanced tooltips. Easy access to tutorials.
- Capture One Pro Native ARM support, will be released in an update to Capture One 21 early in 2021. In the meantime, Capture One will run on ARM-based Mac computers using Apple’s Rosetta 2 emulation platform. Tethering issue will be addressed in future upcoming releases.
- Capture One have publicly stated that they will have an M1 build in early 2021. This is similar, for example, to Adobe's public statements about Photoshop (also a release in 2021). And while Adobe plan to release a native M1 Lightroom in 2020, I don't believe they've done so yet.
